The husband-and-wife owners of
Clapp Studios started a photography studio four years ago initially as a way to bring in extra money.
Word-of-mouth has grown the business into a full-time job for Mia Clapp and a part-time job for husband Kenneth Clapp. Having grown the last two years, the Clapps will focus on expanding the customer roster this year.
The studio specializes in photojournalistic-style wedding photography, lifestyle photography, corporate headshots, portraits and boudoir photography. The goal this year is to get 40 percent of the brides to book a boudoir session. Boudoir style photography captures women—sometimes in lingerie --with the goal of producing images that are tasteful and glamorous.
The studio also takes photos for book covers, fashion shoots, and web advertising for small businesses. It has also shot photos for video production such as TV show “Aqua Kids,” author and life coach Mia Redrick, Rehoboth Music and many artists.
Its corporate clients include the Bozzuto Group, Michele Damon Events, Go First Mortgage and Prestigious Occasions.
