Have you secretly (or not-so-secretly) longed to be part of the Bmore Media team? Now's your chance.
We're currently seeking both an Innovation and Jobs News Editor and freelance feature writers to add to our talent pool.
The
primary responsibility of the Innovation and Jobs News Editor is to
cover economic growth and innovation in the Baltimore region by
reporting and writing 4 short (200-300 words) original news stories each
week. The I&J Editor is also a member of the Bmore editorial team,
which means she/he will have the opportunity to contribute freelance
feature stories and will be expected to suggest people/places/things
worth covering. This is a part-time, contract gig and not full-time
employment.
Members of the freelance pool have the opportunity to
pitch feature stories (800-1000 words) for publication and will be
considered for assignments as they come up.
If you're interested, please send the following to
[email protected]:
- What you're interested in -- freelance features or I&J News Editor
- At least 3 (no more than 5) writing samples
- A description of why you're interested and why you're qualified
- Links to your website and your social networking profiles, if you have them
- You can send a rsum if you'd like, but it's not necessary
We'll
only be able to respond to candidates in whom we're interested. If you
don't hear back please don't read anything into it -- it just means
we're not a good fit for one reason or another.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
