Chocolate Affair. Executive Chef Carlos Gomez, formerly of the Hotel Hershey, is preparing a chocolate-inspired dinner. The evening will also feature an hors d’oeuvre reception and a dessert buffet from area restaurants, caterers and chocolatiers. The event takes place Feb. 9, at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront in Harbor East.
Guests will also hear stories on how the Baltimore nonprofit has helped homeless families. The "Fund-a-Need" auction lets donors fund critical needs. For instance, $25 can provide bus fare to and from a doctor’s office for five mothers; $100 can fund medical supplies for five families; and $300 supplies immunizations to two children.
