Issue Media Group, the parent company of BmoreMedia, has launched its newest publication covering the Washington, D.C., region.

Elevation DC is a weekly magazine that covers the innovators, job creators and disruptors who are making their mark on D.C. Each Tuesday, it will help readers discover "what's next?" for the city. Features in the inaugural issue include a look at a real estate firm that is using pop-up events to enliven empty spaces and a conversation with the anonymous blogger behind Unsuck DC Metro.

Similar to BmoreMedia, the publication will highlight real estate, retail and tech industry happenings in its Development News and Innovation and Jobs News sections. Rachel Kaufman, a technology, business and science journalist, edits the publication. Kaufman has written for Inc., CNN Money, National Geographic News and helped launch a jobs blog for Mediabistro.com. She lives in the Brookland neigbhorhood of Washington.

Luis Velarde writes about real estate and urban development as Development News Editor. His work has appeared in the BBC World Service and the Voice of America, among other news outlets. Cincinnati native Allyson Jacob, who has written for the Cincinnati Enquirer and Cincinnati CityBeat, edits the Innovation and Jobs News section.
