Wit & Wisom sommeliers Julie Dalton and John Filkins are inviting guests to toast spring with their "White Wines of the World" class.

The April 25 event is the inaugural class in a monthly series hosted by the New American restaurant inside the Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore in Harbor East. Champagne-and-cheese pairings, American cult wines and Wine 101 courses will be offered in later months. The restaurant has not yet set the dates for future classes.  

Filkins was recently named the mid-Atlantic regional winner in the 2013 Best Young Sommelier competition. Filkins will compete against eight other regional winners May 4 in Santa Rosa, Calif.
