Whether it's roads, streets, highways, interchanges and beltways or buses, subways and the light rail, transportation has been recognized as a major issue in Baltimore, along the Baltimore-Washington corridor, and throughout Maryland. As an increasing number of residents commute between Baltimore and D.C. and with BRAC set to put tens of thousands of additional drivers and commuters into the mix, the challenge of maintaining, improving, and creating new transportation options has become a focus of the Baltimore economy.
