Shop to support a good cause this weekend at Shop & Bop. The event will showcase the artistic creations of Art With a Heart’s Summer Job Program. Proceeds from all sales will be shared between
Art With a Heart and its community partners. The nonprofit uses art to enhance people's lives.
The Summer Job Program is a four-to-six-week-long program that teaches undeserved youth soft job skills through art. Students create marketable works of art and participate in job skills and communications workshops.
Shop & Bop takes place at 623 W. 34
th Street. The event runs from Friday, Aug. 3 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 4 from noon to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, Aug. 5 from noon to 5 p.m.
The event will also feature a community mosaic art table, face painting, chalk drawing, balloon painting, and a cotton candy and popcorn machine. On Friday, a variety of food will be available at the Gathering, Baltimore’s food truck rally, which will take place in the parking lot of the Castle at Keswick.
