Towson’s AVF Consulting Inc. provides accounting software and consulting services to organizations throughout the mid-Atlantic region. The Microsoft partner specializes in the nonprofit sector and was recently named a top 100 value-added reseller by Accounting Today and a 2011 VAR Star by industry journal Bob Scott's Insights.

AVF Consulting has expanded its product offerings and, in addition to being a reseller, is a software developer. CEO and founder, Andrew Fass, has spun off three other business lines. They are K12 Enterprise, Microsoft’s financial and HR software for the school systems; ChargeLogic, a credit card and payment processing software vendor; and Dynamic Shared Services, which provides accounting and dues management services to labor unions.
 
With more 100 mid-sized to large nonprofits as clients, AVF expects to add more nonprofit industry clients. It recently picked up the American Psychological Association as a client. The 25-person company currently has several open positions: project manager, customer care manager and a consultant with experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, a financial management and enterprise resource planning software.
