After finding success in college towns, software licensor LocalUp
saw the need for a convenient restaurant guide and online ordering site.
That led to EATbmore.com's November launch. Since then, the site has grown to include more than 60 restaurants in Baltimore, including Grilled Cheese & Co., Lumbini and Wok & Roll. The site features delivery and takeout options.
Users can also look for restaurants in a particular neighborhood and click on EATbmore specials when they are ordering online.
EATbmore.com supports the local food scene through grassroots marketing efforts, social media and foodie events. Baltimoreans might see the company's street teams handing out merchandise and coupons or its life-size pizza slice and Chinese takeout boxes.
The company employs 28, which includes LocalUp who develop the software as well as a street team that advertises specifically for EATbmore.
