Kalix Communications is named after an archipelago off the coast of Sweden that is composed of nearly 800 islands.The recently formed company says it chose the name because it taps the expertise of professionals just as varied as the archipelago.
The company subcontracts with 12 senior-level executives who are assigned to teams depending on clients’ requests and offer a flexible fee structure, from retainer to project-based. The two-person firm is led by President and Partner Jonathan Oleisky and Partner and Executive Vice President Ruth Eve.
The company has already landed two Towson education clients: Notre Dame Preparatory School, a Catholic middle-high school, and Towson University. Other clients include Consolidated Insurance Center, PrevMed and My Directive.
Kalix focuses on brand development, creative direction, social media strategy and implementation, media buying and planning and public relations.
